I am Haim, and I need a kidney. I have been on dialysis for several months. A potential donor, a friend, did not pass the health qualification, so my hope of transplant was dashed. My wife and I were devastated. I am registered for kidney donation through the normal medical channels, but I am not so young and would probably not survive the normal long wait, and have decided to be pro-active.
I know that there are good people out there who are willing to give the gift of life and I am hoping to reach a possible donor.
A little about me: I was born in Haifa, Israel and after getting my BA at Hebrew University, moved to the U.S. to pursue an MBA. I fell in love with this country and with the beautiful woman who was to become my wife. We ran a highly successful art gallery specialized in 20th century applied and decorative arts, and fine jewelry. We had a national and international reputation, loaned to museums around the world, and pieces from our collection appear in many books. I am still active in our business, but also want to make the most of the free time I have for myself and my wife to continue to travel for business and pleasure, and to enjoy life.
I am still a "young" person, in excellent health, except for the kidney. I am hoping to have a long and happy retirement with my wife, but will need a kidney to survive. Can you help? Let’s talk.
